What types of Professional Development are offered by
C-SPED?

C-SPED plans and offers an array of conferences and institutes on issues that are relevant and useful to the participants. A network of presenters, who are the leading experts in education, bring their knowledge and expertise to address the various topics that impact services to children with disabilities and those who are at risk of school failure. C-SPED also provides staff development training for school personnel, which is designed specially to meet the needs of your staff. We offer training on IEP development, Section 504, Avoiding Common Landmines in Special Education, Family Education Rights and Privacy Act, as well as training on implementing the various components of the IDEA. Must I be a C-SPED subscriber to attend the Conferences and Institutes?

No, C-SPED welcomes participants who are interested in the topics presented and who are focused on improving services for children and youth.

How do I obtain a subscriber discount?

C-SPED subscribers receive a 20% discount on the registration fee for all conferences and institutes. In order to receive the discount, you must be a current C-SPED subscriber with an active account to the web site. For information on how to become a subscriber, click on Subscription Information.

If I register online, will I receive the subscriber discount?

If you are a current subscriber to C-SPED's web site services, you will receive the discount automatically when you register online for a conference or institute. Be sure and Login before completing the form field provided for online registration. This will ensure your discount rate is calculated correctly.

How do I register online for a conference or institute?

Go to the Professional Development section and click on the training session you are infested in attending. Information about the conference or institute is provided, along with directions on how to register online. You will need to designate the purchase order number of check number for payment. To finalize your registration, receipt of a purchase order number or payment check is required.

May I register online and then forward my check for registration?

Yes, you can pre-register for any conference or institute online using a purchase order number or check number.
