Revised MDE Procedural Safeguards!

MDE revised the Procedural Safeguards document and published it with an effective date of December 16, 2009. To assist school districts, C-SPED offers a reformatted version of the safeguards document, as well as the previous document with changes indicated in italic and bolded type.

Safeguards with Changes Noted (This document indicates the changes made in italic and bolded type. Please note a major change was made on page 5 of this document, which increases the number of times the Procedural Safeguards document must be sent to parents. As of December 16, 2009, the document must also be given to parents with each notification of an IEP meeting and upon each reevaluation for special education services.)
